I had taken my truck to another shop and got a ridiculous quote, called up Julio at the transmission shop and was shocked at the low quote. Needless to say, headed his way. Work was done extremely well and same day. Julio and his crew are the best transmission shop around!! Highly recommend them for any issues. Y'all earned a lifetime customer . Thanks Guys!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Julio at the transmission shop definitely deserves one. He was amazing from the moment I walked in—super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and just all around genuine. From start to finish, he was informative, professional, and genuinely helpful. He broke everything down in a way that actually made sense (no confusing car talk), and I never once felt like he was trying to upsell me or take advantage. You can tell he really knows his stuff and actually cares about helping people, not just getting them in and out. Let’s be real—car issues are stressful, but Julio made the whole process feel smooth and way less overwhelming. My car is running perfectly now, and I left feeling confident instead of confused. He’s the kind of person you hope to find when dealing with car repairs!

Five-star service! I brought my vehicle in with some major transmission concerns, and they had it diagnosed and fixed much faster than I expected. The communication was excellent and they kept me updated throughout the entire process. My truck is shifting smoother than ever now. If you’re in the McKinney area and need transmission work, don’t go anywhere else.

This is the shop you want ask for Julio! The Transmission Shop has professionals with attention to perfection, quality work at fair prices and updates by text through out the process. Very honest too! I found $15 in the cup holder and thought THEY left it by mistake. They said it was there when they got the car and didn't touch it. I had a catastrophic transmission failure (stuck in 1st gear) and several codes that indicated mechanical failure. I know my way under the hood (rebuilt my first engine at 15 and went on to study engineering), but for automatic transmissions you NEED a shop that has the right people ... this is the place! I called shops from Richardson to Frisco, and most suggested replacement with a rebuilt unit but there was a backlog in replacement units that was 3 months out. Not a problem for The Transmission Shop, they had rebuilt several identical units and their builder was familiar with my model. They rebuilt it, and took several test drives, made minor adjustments till they were confident I would be happy. The repair took a little longer than originally thought, but Julio texted me updates throughout the process and explained what the issue were as th

Well, where can I start. Ok, julio the boss or the man of the hour who always there in front when u Come with an transmission issue is the best, he's very professional, knowledgeable, courtesy, polite and most of all, honest. There check in process and help with issues is so, so simple and straight forward. I been there only twice. First time my mechanic personally took me there. Because he knows I'm old and need "special attention"!! Julio was so on point he gave me a free diagnostic which included the assurity that my Trans was in great condition. Then he gave me definite info directing me to what the problem was. 💯. Now my visit today was similar but different. Fast and accurate diagnostic said only need minimum service, replaced Trans fluid and said, "come get u baby it's ready like Freddy. Thx julio and all the tech as well. Their the real heroes i must say. I hope this review signifies the relevance and A-1 service you get when u come to the transmission shop.... OF MCKINNEY.... ✌🏾
